Welcome to Your Salt & Sole Experience!
From the moment you walk through our doors, your experience begins. We're thrilled to personally welcome you and offer a pair of slippers to slip into as you await. Your host will then guide you to your reserved space, where you'll be greeted by a hand-hammered copper pot filled with warm water, custom-curated to complement your chosen soak, and a zero-gravity recliner waiting to carry all your tension away.
Before your session begins, your reflexologist will check in about any sensitive areas to avoid, ensuring your treatment is tailored entirely to you. As you settle in and begin to unwind, your feet will soak deeply while your reflexologist simultaneously begins your service — working through the feet and lower legs before moving to the hands and ears. 60- and 90-minute sessions typically include a 20-minute soak, while 30-minute sessions soak for approximately 10-15 minutes.
Soft blankets and eye masks are available throughout your visit, and any enhancements you've selected will be thoughtfully woven into your experience. The lights will be low and voices soft, creating the space for your mind to fully grow still.
Did you know it takes the average mind 7–10 minutes of intentional stillness before the nervous system can begin shifting into a truly restorative state? For this reason, we warmly encourage you to silence your phone as soon as you arrive — the sooner you begin to soften, the deeper your experience will be. This is your moment to reconnect, reground, and recharge.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is reflexology?
Reflexology is a wellness-based service focused on applying intentional pressure to specific points on the feet, lower legs, hands, ears, scalp, and/or shoulders. Many guests find reflexology to be deeply relaxing, grounding, and restorative. Before your session begins, your reflexologist will ask whether there are any areas you would like emphasized or avoided, allowing your experience to be thoughtfully tailored to your comfort and preferences.
Is reflexology the same as massage?
No. Massage focuses on the body’s muscles and soft tissues, often using broader techniques to relieve physical tension and soreness. Reflexology is a more targeted wellness service that applies intentional pressure to specific points on the feet, lower legs, hands, ears, scalp, and/or shoulders. While both services can be deeply relaxing, reflexology is typically less about full-body muscle work and more about creating a calming, restorative experience through focused pressure and intentional touch.
Do I stay fully clothed during my appointment?
Yes. Clients remain fully clothed during reflexology sessions. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to relax easily. You will only need to remove your shoes and socks.
What should I expect during my first visit?
When you arrive, we will help you get settled into a comfortable chair in a peaceful setting. Your practitioner will briefly review any preferences or areas of sensitivity, then begin your selected service. The experience is designed to be calm, quiet, and restorative from start to finish.
Does reflexology hurt?
No, reflexology is intended to be a very relaxing and stress reducing experience. If you feel any amount of discomfort, please notify your practitioner immediately so we can ensure a positive experience.
Can I choose the amount of pressure?
Yes. Everyone has different preferences, and we want your visit to feel comfortable and personalized. You are always welcome to request lighter, moderate, or firmer pressure.
What services do you offer?
We offer 30-minute, 60-minute, and 90-minute sessions. A 30-minute session is a great option for a quick reset, while 60- and 90-minute sessions allow more time for a deeper, more relaxed experience. We may also offer optional add-ons depending on availability.
Which session length should I choose?
A 30-minute session is perfect if you are short on time or new to reflexology. A 60-minute session is our most balanced option and allows more time to settle in and unwind. A 90-minute session is best for clients who want a slower, more complete experience.
How often should I come in?
That depends on your personal wellness goals and schedule. Some clients visit weekly, while others come in monthly or as needed when they want time to relax and reset. There is no one-size-fits-all schedule.
Can reflexology treat medical conditions?
No. None of our services, including the enhancement options, are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Reflexology is offered for relaxation, comfort, and general wellness only. Please consult a licensed healthcare provider for medical concerns, symptoms, or treatment decisions.
Are your practitioners authorized to prescribe treatments?
No. None of our practitioners or technicians are authorized to prescribe treatments, diagnose conditions, recommend changes to medical care, or provide medical advice in any manner. Any medical questions should be directed to a licensed healthcare provider.
Should I come in if I am pregnant?
Please consult your healthcare provider before scheduling reflexology while pregnant, especially if you are considered high-risk or have any pregnancy-related medical concerns. When booking, please let us know you are pregnant so we can note it for your practitioner.
Are there times when I should avoid reflexology?
You should check with a licensed healthcare provider before scheduling if you have serious medical concerns, recent surgery, blood clots, open wounds, contagious skin conditions, significant foot injuries, or any condition that may make pressure on the feet unsafe or uncomfortable.
Can children receive reflexology?
Minors may receive services with parent or guardian consent. A parent or guardian must remain present during the appointment for young children.
What should I do before my appointment?
We recommend arriving hydrated, wearing comfortable clothing, and allowing yourself a few extra minutes so you do not feel rushed. You do not need to do anything special before your visit.
What should I do after my appointment?
After your session, we recommend drinking water and giving yourself a little time to ease back into your day. Many clients feel relaxed after their appointment, so it can be nice to avoid rushing immediately into something stressful if possible.
Will I be in a private room?
This depends on your group size. Groups of 1–3 are most commonly accommodated in our semi-private Retreat Stations. For groups of 4–5, we're pleased to offer either the Retreat Stations or The Nook — a specially designed area tucked away for a more intimate experience. Groups of 6–10 are welcomed into The Salt and Sole Sanctuary, a dedicated space tailored for larger gatherings. Regardless of where you're seated, every area is designed to feel calm, clean, and restorative. If you have a specific preference for your group, we encourage you to mention this when booking so we can find the best fit for you.
Can I talk during the experience?
Absolutely. That said, you're equally welcome to close your eyes, stay quiet, and simply relax — many guests find that a silent session helps them fully unwind.
If you do chat, we kindly ask that voices are kept soft and low so everyone in the space can enjoy a peaceful experience.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Walk-ins may be accepted when availability allows, but appointments are recommended to secure your preferred time and session length.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Because appointment times are reserved specifically for each client, cancellations made within 24 hour of the appointment and no-shows are subject to a 50% service fee. A credit card is required to book all appointments. For groups of 6 or more, a 30% deposit is required.
Should I tip my practitioner?
Tips are appreciated but never required. If you enjoyed your service and would like to leave a gratuity, you are welcome to do so at checkout.
